Mail Order for Sending Mooncake Gift Sets to Mainland through Hong Kong / Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service

The Postmaster General, Mr. Allan CHIANG, announced today (24 August) that, in collaboration with China Post, orders for mooncake gift sets will be accepted for sending to the mainland under the Hong Kong / Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service from 24 August 2004 to 21 September 2004.

There will be eight mooncake gift sets, including mooncakes made in the Mainland and in Hong Kong, which are specially selected to cater for the needs of Hong Kong people or companies to send their greetings to their business partners, relatives or friends in the Mainland before the Mid-Autumn Festival. The gift sets are priced from $138 to $728, inclusive of delivery charges. Customers can place orders for sending these mooncake gift sets to over 2000 cities in the Mainland. The completed order forms can be handed in at any post office, or by fax or post to Hongkong Post Logistics Centre on or before 21 September 2004. Customers can also order on-line at the website of Hongkong Post. All orders will be delivered on or before the Mid-Autumn Festival on 28 September 2004.

Hongkong Post and China Post have teamed up to offer the Hong Kong / Mainland Gift Fulfilment Service since January 2004, which provides convenience for sending to the Mainland a series of gift sets including Lunar New Year gifts, bouquets, cakes, flower baskets and fruit baskets.
